Saturday 13th March

Barclays Premier League

Tottenham v Blackburn

Kick Off 12.45pm

Live on Sky Sports 1

Tottenham currently sit in the coveted fourth spot and will have to protect that position without a number of key players as Jermaine Jenas, Tom Huddlestone, David Bentley and Aaron Lennon are key names on a growing injury list. Tottenham are somewhat lucky to still be sitting where they are as they had a reprieve last Monday when Liverpool lost to Wigan when a win could have nudged Spurs down into fifth. It has also been confirmed that Jonathan Woodgate will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing groin surgery in Australia.

Blackburn travel to North London with one of the poorest away records in the Premier League. Their home form has definitely kept Rovers afloat this season but on the road they’ve only won one match in 14, managing to find the net only nine times in total. Unlike his counterpart, Sam Allardyce has no injury headaches and has the benefit of welcoming back David Dunn after he successfully came through a reserves match.

Tottenham have only conceded one goal in their last six at White Hart Lane which is an ominous statistic for goal shy travellers Blackburn and with Jermaine Defoe and Roman Pavlyuchenko being responsible for eleven of Tottenham’s last fourteen goals in all competitions, the over 2.5 bet looks a likely winner here.
