PSG v Monaco 30/5/09 (21:00 cet)

PSG have ended the season really poorly, losing 3 of their last 4 games. It looked as if they would easily finish in 4th position but this run of results has definitely put their European position under threat. If they win this match, then they’ll finish at least 5th, possibly higher if Toulouse fail to beat Lyon.

So this will be the main aim for Paul Le Guen’s men and they should be able to do it. Monaco have little left to play for and they’ve been safe from relegation for quite a while. In the last few weeks they’ve also been very disappointing and have ended the season with a real whimper.

For both coaches, it’ll be their last games in charge of their respective clubs, so will be eager to go out on a high. The extra motivation and intensity is with PSG and they should welcome back key striker, Guillaume Hoarau from injury which’ll be a major boost.

The price isn’t anything special but I really cant look beyond a home win at Le Parc de Princes. I expect Les Parisians will prove to be a cut above their opponents.
