Lorient v Le Mans 30/5/09 (21:00 cet)

This is a very important game for Le Mans who still need a point to confirm their survival. Should they lose and other results don’t go their way, then ligue 2 is still a possibility. I think the visitors are sure to be more motivated and intense, something that could prove to be vital. 

Le Mans have really ended the season in a poor way, losing 4 of their last 5 games and could only draw 1-1 at home to Grenoble last week. Lorient have no pressure on their shoulders although have also been fairly inconsistent in their recent matches.

I think the hosts are a decent price here and I’m very tempted to take them. However, I have known these sort of situations before and you cant underestimate teams who really need the points.

Le Mans should fight for their lives and I can see this being a close, tight match. Under 2.5 is probably the best option at Le Stade Moustoir, a low scoring draw is the most likely result.
