Barclays Premier League
Hull City v Arsenal

Kick Off 5.30pm
Relegation threatened Hull could find themselves out of the bottom three if they win and results go their way this weekend. Of course it’s a big ask for them to beat Arsenal, so forgetting a string of poor performances and an awful away record, their record at the KC stadium is worthy of further inspection before we write their chances off this weekend. We see that Hull have only lost once at home since last September and that defeat came at the hands of Manchester United. It’s also a run that has seen them beat Manchester City, Everton, Stoke and Wigan and if we throw a stubborn draw against Chelsea into the mix too we’ll see that Hull won’t be the pushovers that many might think they’ll be this weekend. Defender Andy Dawson is fit again after recovering from an asthma attack. Craig Fagan is available after serving a suspension and Stephen Hunt hopes a series of injections will remedy a niggling foot injury.
Arsenal will come into this match buzzing after turning around a 1st leg Champions League defecit in midweek. Nicklas Bendtner may have missed a hatful of chances last weekend against Burnley but he made up for that by scoring a hat-trick in a 5-0 thrashing of Porto. On the domestic front, the Gunners are on a run of four consecutive Premier League wins so they’re looking for five in a row for the first time this season. Arsenal are one of the Premier League’s front runners away from home having won half of their fourteen games away from the Emirates, a figure bettered only by Manchester United who have won eight away from home. The Gunners are likely to be without Cesc Fabregas due to a hamstring injury and an ankle inury is also likely to keep Bacary Sagna out. Tomas Rosicky faces a late injury test, Alex Song is banned but Sol Campbell should be fit.
Arsenal are in fine form but they are they are relying heavily on Bendtner to come up with the goals. Recent hat trick or not, Bendtner is no prolific scorer which might mean they could find it tougher going against a Hull side who have become stubborn at home and I can see the Tigers getting a point from this.
