Adrian Lewis v Gary Anderson – 8.15pm
Adrian Lewis got through to the second round after brushing aside Robert Thornton 2-0. Thornton was clearly below par, playing with a strapped up throwing hand after a recent accident at home. Nothing could be taken away from Adrian’s performance though as he missed very few starting or finishing doubles and scored well. Anderson, after sailing through his first round match against John Magowan, should provide much tougher opposition for Lewis than his fellow countryman, Thornton. The Scot has fared well since his move to the PDC and the bookies make him 1.6 favourite, but considering Lewis won the Irish Players Championship here last weekend, and looks as focussed as he ever has, 2.5 for Lewis looks great value.
