Nancy v Caen 15/11/08 (19:00 cet)
Nancy lost in the midweek cup away against PSG. This would’ve been a bit of a disappointment because they’d hoped to progress quite far in the competition.
But now they must focus their attention back towards ligue matters, where in recent weeks they have done quite well. Pablo Correia’s men have won their last 2 consecutive games and will be looking for another maximum points haul this weekend.
They remain unbeaten at home, but this might be a potentially difficult challenge. Caen are quite a useful side but you never quite know what your going to get with them at the moment. They can blow hot and cold, and coach Franck Doumas often employs a range of different tactics which can be hard to work out.
Sometimes I feel that they are more comfortable away from home, and this sort of match might suit them nicely. I don’t know which way it’s going to go, but a good bet looks set to be under 2 goals.
It should be a tight affair containing few chances, one goal would probably be enough for either team to claim victory.
